On November 30, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (Minister Chung Hwang-keun, MAFRA) held the "2022 Workshop on Progress Report of Agricultural Training for Married Immigrant Women" at Stanford Hotel Seoul. 

With 170 participants including 150 trainees of agricultural training for married immigrant women and 20 people related to the training nationwide, the awards ceremony for the 3rd 『Leaders' contest for married immigrant women』 was held in the sectors of good agriculture, social activities, and use of social networking service (SNS). Also, cases of the awardees (3 people) of the highest prize were introduced, the result of the survey on the satisfaction of 2022 『Agricultural training for married immigrant women』  were shared, and the opportunity for networking was provided. 

MAFRA implements (Implementation agency: National Agricultural Cooperative Federation) the agricultural training project for married immigrant women every year. The booklet entitled "Agricultural Diary Written Together" combining 9 exemplary cases which received awards of the 3rd 『Leaders' contest for married immigrant women』  and easily understandable agricultural∙rural vocabularies written in different languages (English, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Khmer).  

This booklet introduces exemplary examples of married immigrant women in rural areas, helps married immigrant women share information within and among regions, while broadening their understanding on Korea's agriculture∙rural areas. 

Director General Lee Sang-man of the Rural Policy Bureau of MAFRA said, "We are supporting multicultural families' stable settlement in rural areas by nurturing successor farmers through systematic agricultural training for married immigrant women in rural areas and by running training programs for married immigrant women, their families, and local residents. Going forwards, we will nurture married immigrant women as professional agricultural managers and will contribute to social integration by enhancing perception towards multicultural families and building better relationships with them."
