2020 Global Consumer Survey on Korean Food highlighted;
❍ In 16 major cities around the world, awareness of Korean food stood at 57.4%, and satisfaction at 81.3% with an increase of 2.8 %p and 0.1 %p from last year respectively.
❍ The rate of Korean restaurant experience was 66.5%, increased by 8.4%p from last year while the monthly average of visits among respondents who have dined at a Korean restaurant decreased by 0.9 due to COVID-19.
* Rate of Korean restaurant experience: 58.1% in 2019 → 66.5% in 2020
* Monthly average visits: 2.5 visits in 2019 → 1.6 visits in 2020
❍ According to the survey, 33.6 percent of the respondents who had tried Korean food said that Kimchi was eaten most often and 26.9 percent said Korean-style fried chicken was the most preferred Korean dish.
