◈ (Summary) Annual export amount of agricultural foods in 2020 (temporary) was increased by 7.7% to the previous year to accomplish the all-time highest level of 7.57 billion dollars with 1.43 billion dollars in fresh agricultural products and 6.14 billion dollars in processed foods by each category.
❍ Especially, it showed a remarkable growth of Kimchi (144.5 million dollars, 37.6%↑), hot bean paste (50.9, 35.2%↑), processed rice foods (137.6, 26.7%↑), Ramen (603.6, 29.3%↑), citrus tea (50.8, 31.9%↑), and grapes (31.2, 32.5%↑),
❍ By country, the export amount to the US (1.21 billion dollars) was increased by 38.0% to the previous year and rose to the second rank among target countries of exportation surpassing China (11.4). The exportation to new southern regions (15.6) was increased by 9.1% to emerge as the first ranking exportation zone

◈ The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has analyzed that concentrated marketing support was effective on prompt response to the environment of online untact distribution and consumption, the effort to resolve difficulties of export companies, and the support of intensive marketing on healthy convenient foods in order to overcome difficulties due to COVID-19, through the collaboration between the farmhouses, food industry, and export companies and the government and public sector.
