Subsidy for Different Crop Cultivation in Rice Paddy
(Key Content) To encourage cultivation of crops other than rice in rice paddies to preemptively respond to excessive production of rice and improve self-sufficiency rate of different crops
(Subject Farmland) ① Farmland that received subsidy by taking part in MAFRA's or local government's 'different crop cultivation subsidy project in rice paddy' in 2018, ② Farmland that submitted certificate of fact of growing rice in 2017 or 2018, ③ Farmland that received variable direct payment from farming income conservation direct payment for 2017 produce, and ④ Farmland subject to receive variable direct payment for 2018 produce
[Subject Farmers (or Farming Corporations)] Farmers (or farming corporations) who registered in agricultural enterprise. For farmer (or farming corporation) who applies for 'non-cultivation', such farmer shall be certified of cultivation fact for 1 year or more in the recent 3 years (2016 - 2018)
(Subject Items) Bulky feed and local specialty crops that are less affected by supply and demand are encouraged. Some items concerned about supply and demand instability are excluded. * Items Excluded from Project: Chinese cabbage, radish, chili, spring onion
(Subsidy Unit Price) An average subsidy of KRW 3.4 million per ha considering cultivation income of rice and other crops
* Beans: Soybean (for Jang, etc.), kidney bean, cowpea, pea, horse bean, broad bean, adzuki bean, mung bean, peanut, etc.
* Non-cultivation: Agricultural goods must not be cultivated for the purpose of harvesting or selling in July 1 - October 31. The form and functions of farmland must be maintained, and deep stirring and clod breaking are recommended once or more in June - August.
(Application) Submit to eup, myeon, dong office in jurisdiction of farmland (By June 28, 2019)
(Subsidy) Paid at the end of current year to farms (farming corporations) that pass the investigation of the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service
