The Center for Farmers' Safety & Health is an institution that investigates and researches on major diseases of farmers being in charge of preventing diseases and educating farmers based on the research according to Article 15-2 of the Special Act on Improvement of Quality of Life of Farmers and Fishers and Promotion of Development of Farming and Fishing Villages.
Major roles of the Center for Farmers' Safety & Health are:
Investigating into the causes of major diseases on farmers and the correlation with farming work * Major Diseases of Farmers: Musculoskeletal system disorders (arthritis, back pains, etc.), agrichemical poisoning, various injuries from farming work, etc.
Development and distribution of preventive manuals such as a correction of farming postures to prevent major diseases of farmers
Provision of disease related information and preventive information to farmers
Provision of medical services to farmers in regions isolated from medical services
