◈ The amendment of 'Enforcement Decree of the Act on the Prevention of Contagious Animal Diseases' is enforced from June 1, 2019.

- This amendment applies increased administrative fines from June 1, 2019 when a foreign traveler imports carry-in livestock goods without declaring.

◦ From July 1, 2019, the legal basis has been provided to improve the quarantine system by reducing compensation costs to farms which do not follow quarantine measures, and to protect people.

◦ Increased administrative fines for undeclared importation of livestock goods imported as personal effects* from African Swine Fever (ASF)affected countries

□ Enforcement from July 1, 2019

◦ Strengthened standards of reduced compensation costs to stamping out livestock

- Increased from a 40% reduction to 100% reduction in case of violating FMD vaccination order

◦ Provision of the standard of imposition of administrative fines to disease control & hygiene management businesses who do not complete related education

- Elimination of personal contributions to and replacing them with full governmental subsidy to additional professional treatment
