◇ The export of strawberries from Korea will be possible from 2017 as the negotiation of export quarantine of Australia is concluded.

○ The quarantine requirements agreed by the two countries were officially announced by the Australian Quarantine Authority in September 2017, and were concluded by confirming the final requirements at the Quarantine Experts Conference held between December 17 and 19.

○ The basic export quarantine requirements for fresh strawberries should be submitted by the Korean plant quarantine agency for export farmhouse (greenhouse), pre-registration, methyl bromide fumigation disinfection, plantation quarantine (twice), etc.

◇ The conclusion of the export quarantine negotiation means that Korean high quality fresh berries have secured stable entry into the Australian market.
